The Under 9’s is a fun and friendly squad who are always happy to welcome new boys and girls along to have a taster session or two and see if you’d like to join in on a more permanent basis.
Whilst our main focus is for the kids to have fun, we also look to incorporate the fundamental movement skills (Agility, Balance, Coordination and Speed) into our sessions whilst also instilling the core values of rugby union (Teamwork, Respect, Enjoyment, Discipline and Sportsmanship).

As U9s the kids begin to develop the first stages of contact, which as U9s is limited to tackling. Starting in a controlled environment, focusing on technique, we gradually develop the skills required to ensure the kids are ready to play in a game situation. To qualify to play for the Under 9's players need to be age 8 at the start of the season i.e. 1st September (school year 4).

We train, and play games against local teams, on Sundays mornings between 09:30 and 11:00ish and are always keen for new players to join our team.
